With the constant harassment of His Excellency Godwin Obaseki, governor of Edo State by Adams Oshiomole, it is clear that the table may soon turn against APC.
This was made clear after a conglomeration of elite Edo citizens home and diaspora registered their displeasure at Oshiomole fustrating the good works of Obaseki and working against Obaseki's re-election.
It called on Godwin Obaseki to immediately consider decamping to PDP if he is further harassed and blocked by Oshiomole in APC, stating that Edo people will rise to defend him no matter the party his decamps to.
The group made up of elite and 'creme dela creme' of Edo State home and abroad known as Edo Elite Movement (EEM) cutting across all the various people of Edo, warned that Edo people will rise to defend Godwin Obaseki and his good works when the chips are down because Oshiomole is fighting against the good people of Edo State and not Obaseki.
The group wondered why so much opposition to Obaseki's re-election when even those at the grassroots have been positively impacted by his developmental strides. It also noted that Oshiomole as an elder statesman should be at the forefront of supporting the current developmental stride of the Obaseki government.
Its spokesman Prof. Lawrence Ehigiator therefore called on its members to rise up and start mobilizing citizens in their communities to defend their new found development and freedom being threatened by Oshiomole and his group. Prof. Lawrence Ehigiator also stated that they are working with other people oriented groups in every part of the state to ensure Godfather-ism do not come back to Edo State.
It will be noted that the embattled governor of Edo State His Excellency Godwin Obaseki has brought huge development to the state that are clearly visible to all, hence the good people of Edo are happily waiting for his re-election. Nevertheless Adams Oshiomole through the National Executive of APC have been working tirelessly to stop Obaseki.
