Information just reaching CNN-Nigeria has it that President Muhammadu Buhari has called on the President of the Senate, Senator Ahmed Lawan to cease action on the ongoing probe into Edo State House of Assembly inauguration and other matters and to stop any further interference.

Mr President at the ongoing caucus meeting frowned at the order recently issued by the leadership of the House of Representatives giving a week ultimate to Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki of Edo State to issue a fresh proclamation letter for the House to be inaugurated.

At the meeting called by Bola Tinubu and other notable figures from APC, it was agreed that this was an inhouse affair hence there was no need to drag in the National Assembly.

President Buhari was particularly unhappy that the feud between Oshiomole and the hard working Gov. Godwin Obaseki was capable of making APC loose Edo State which incidentally is the only APC State in the South South Region of Nigeria, President Buhari's fears and worries re-echos same by immediate past chairman of APC, Chief Odigie Oyegun.

Chief Oyegun in his earlier remark and observation, called on Aliyu Oshiomole to give Gov. Godwin Obaseki some breathing space as the governor was currently doing a fantastic job in the state and that his undue continued interference in the state affairs and governance could see APC loosing the state to the opposition party.
