YFSD INTERNATIONAL PRESS RELEASE

YFSD CONDEMNS XENOPHOBIC ATTACKS ON AFRICANS BY SOUTH AFRICANS

The recent xenophobic attacks on fellow Africans, particularly Nigerians has been going on unabated for some years and taken a dangerous turn in the last few days with targeted attacks on Nigerians.

The  Young Foundation Line For Social Development (YFSD) hereby condemn in strong terms the unabated killings, maiming and arson on Africans, especially Nigerians. We shall not continue to watch this horrendous actions by South Africans go unchecked.

For posterity sake, we draw the attention of South Africans to the fact that these same Africans stood with them in their dark hour during the apartheid era, Nigerians individually and collectively donated cash and kind towards ameliorating the sufferings of South Africans, Nigerians even accommodated some of their exiled freedom fighters.

YFSD hereby call on the South African authorities to immediately take step to stop this killings, failure to do this will warrant YFSD to mobilize Africans all over the continent and in Diaspora to boycott both South Africans and South African products and business wherever they are located in Africa.

We have commenced the process of mobilizing other Africans pending the actions of the South African authorities. Same Africans that mobilized against the apartheid oppressors are now ready to come together to stop this senseless killings.
